The past Saturday, June 21st, the spirit of community was alive and thriving in Osogbo as we hosted a special Volunteer Hangout at Chicken Republic. With passionate volunteers in attendance, the gathering was more than just a casual meet-up — it was a meaningful afternoon of bonding, reflection, and shared purpose.
Starting with Stories: Breaking the Ice
The event kicked off right at noon with a round of introductions that quickly turned into heartfelt storytelling. Each volunteer shared their name, background, personal interests, and how their journey with Kiitan Foundation began. A highlight of the day was hearing from our new Program Manager, who spoke candidly about her excitement in working with such a dedicated team. Guests were treated to a light first course of chicken pie and Coke, followed by take-home packs of jollof and fried rice with chicken — a delicious way to wrap up the day.
