Kiitan Foundation’s second edition of the Youth Empowerment programme slated for the 5th of October 2021, worked with three young adults on the promoting their skills into a full-time job that can sustain them and their loved ones. Over a handful of youths apply for our empowerment programmes at every edition. Our selection processes are based on a first-come first-serve bases, merit, investigation through a household economy assessment tool, background checks and finally a physical visit to their place of work or apprenticeship to see how they are faring within their individual trade.

We do not assess these beneficiaries by their backgrounds, looks, tribes, religions or origins. We encourage individuals to take advantage of our youth empowerment programme as it’s one of our causes to assist the youths one person at the time to get out of poverty and continue to soar in their trades. We also encourage capable individuals to support our causes in their own way.

The beneficiaries for this edition of Youth Empowerment include; one tailor; one aluminium fabricator, and one welder. They were supported with the following equipment respectively; one power generator and sewing machine along with a display mannequin; one cutting machine along with one milling machine; and lastly a grinder, files set, welding machine and drilling machine.

The equipment presentation event took place in Eesa tuntun, behind Nomadic primary school , Ido Osun State, Nigeria and in attendance of the beneficiaries, parents, guardians of the beneficiary, well wishers and the beneficiaries. See images of the event below:
